Evolve Energy secures tender to execute end-to-end EPC for Solar Project to power sustainable government infrastructure in Pondicherry.
Evolve Energy, India’s leading and 360-degree solar energy solutions company has recently been awarded the contract for implementation of a 5 MW rooftop solar project across government buildings in Pondicherry. The project has been tendered by the Pondicherry Electricity Board (PEB) and facilitated by SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India).
As part of the project, Evolve Energy will deploy rooftop solar installations across multiple buildings including secretariats, courts, hospitals, educational institutions and other administrative buildings, with design and installation tailored to each site. With minimal operational disruption, the company aims to seamlessly integrate renewable energy into Pondicherry’s essential public infrastructure services.

Under this contract, Evolve Energy Group will lead the end-to-end EPC execution from site surveys and customized system design to final commissioning and long-term operations and maintenance. This comprehensive approach to handle the project will ensure quality, efficiency and sustained performance.
This initiative of the solar rooftop project in Pondicherry aligns with India’s broader renewable energy goals and showcases the role of collaborative public-private partnerships in advancing the green energy agenda.
After the commencement of the project operations, Evolve Energy expects to generate approx. 7,000 MWh annually, significantly leading to carbon reduction and cost savings for public sector energy consumption.
