According to the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s 10th and latest Sustainable Development Report (SDR), India has secured a spot among the top 100 countries for its progress in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ranking 99th on the 2025 SDG Index, the country is making notable advances in its efforts to fight climate change, focusing on sustainability initiatives and green infrastructure. 

To support this momentum, India’s national capital, New Delhi, is setting ambitious goals such as adopting solar power, modernizing power infrastructure, and promoting environmental sustainability to make the region cleaner, greener, and more energy efficient. To accelerate this growth, with Hitachi’s latest Japanese technology in India, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning—a leading provider of air conditioning solutions—hosted the ‘Hitachi Xchange Program,’ a thought leadership workshop in Delhi aimed at empowering architects and HVAC consultants while fostering stronger relationships with industry influencers. 

The workshop served as a key platform for industry leaders to discuss energy-efficient cooling solutions, advanced HVAC technologies, and the vital role of air conditioning in sustainable urban planning. It also provided an opportunity to showcase state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities, a global development centre, and cutting-edge lab infrastructure, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the Make in India initiative and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
